I read the novel by John Irving from cover to cover on a 4 hour flight from Chicago to Las Vegas right after it was first published. I was so engrossed I couldn't put it down. It felt as if the flight had only taken 10 minutes when the plane was landing. I loved the movie, too, when it came out.
