Thank You's and sad news
I just wanted to thank everyone for your lovely birthday wishes on September 3rd. I know I haven't been here on LJ very often recently, so I was truly surprised to see all the beautiful birthday posts and the many PM's, V gifts, emails, and ecards. My presence has been so scarce I wouldn't have blamed my f-list if you'd forgotten all about me.
Serious health issues have plagued both my aging parents and my disabled husband for most of the past year, leaving me little time to get online at night. Dealing with everything from my elderly mother being diagnosed with anorexia nervosa to my husband's end-stage chronic kidney disease and being put on dialysis three times a week has been overwhelming. A few of you know that my dad passed away two days before my birthday, on September 1, so needless to say, my family and I have been having a rough couple of weeks. Finding out that so many of you had remembered me was a ray of light at a terribly dark time, as well as physical gifts that came in the mail and personal phone texts, and I want to thank you for that.
I still love QAF and Brian and Justin passionately, and the multiple times I've seen Randy in Cabaret since it opened last January have been the highlight of my existence. So just a word of advice: Don't count me out yet!

My mom is a little better now. Sorry to hear you were suffering from that disease also. Hope you're okay now. ♥

Yeah, I had started out with one eating disorder that intentionally morphed into another. (long story). Hmm, I'm still fighting it tho.
I'm glad to hear she's starting to get better bit by bit. Are the treatments helping your husband any?
You're welcome. You mean bunches to me too. :)

My husband is doing well with his dialysis 3 times a week. His kidneys will never work normally again, but it is what it is. The treatments keep him alive. So far, he hasn't refused to go, which was my biggest fear.
Thanks for all your caring and concern. ♥

That's good. I think as long as your hubby still feels like he has something to fight for, he'll keep going to his treatments.
You're very welcome, dear. <3
